Air toxics drop to lower and stable levels in Southeast Portland

Cleaner Air Oregon News

Air monitoring data collected in Southeast Portland indicate that levels of airborne heavy metals near Bullseye Glass are at least 98 percent lower than first measured (including an estimated 99.8 percent reduction in levels of toxic hexavalent chromium), based on data recorded over the past seven months. These reductions followed actions state regulators and health experts have taken to curb harmful emissions from the glass-making facility.
